Reality has cracked. After years of fighting the horrors of the Multiverse, Jace Beleren has decided this world isn't worth saving as-is. Why patch a broken reality when you can build a better one? His answer is the Echoverse, a polished, mirrored world where everything works the way it should. The only problem is that the old reality is splintering into shards, and everyone caught between them has to pick a side.
We can't promise you a perfect reality. We can promise you four weeks of sealed Magic, a room full of people from other Utah tech companies, and a final tournament where one company walks away with the trophy. Grab a prerelease kit, pick your shard, and step through the crack.

Key Dates
- League Begins: Monday, October 5th, 2026
- Weekly Packs Unlock: Mondays, October 12th, 19th, and 26th
- League Play Ends: Friday, October 30th, 2026
- Final Tournament: Saturday, November 7th, 2026
Note the final tournament date. Our usual schedule would put the final on the Saturday right after the league ends, but that's Halloween. Nobody wants to choose between trick-or-treating and topdecking, so the final has moved one week later to Saturday, November 7th. Time and location will be announced on Discord.
What Is a Magic: The Gathering Corporate League?
Think of a corporate softball league, but with Magic: The Gathering. A league is a month-long sealed tournament. Everyone starts with the same product, builds a 40-card deck, and plays games against people from their own company and from other companies throughout the month. At the end, each company sends a team to the final tournament to compete for the trophy.
You don't need to be a seasoned player. Sealed play keeps things fair, because everyone opens random cards from the same number of packs. Your experience matters less than you think, and the games are a great excuse to start a conversation.
League Rules
- Starting product. Each player starts with one Reality Fracture prerelease kit (six packs). You'll build a 40-card deck from those cards plus basic lands.
- Adding packs. Starting the second week, you may open one additional pack each Monday (October 12th, 19th, and 26th). You may also open one additional pack for every three losses.
- Pack limit. You can never have more than 12 packs total. That's the prerelease kit plus six more.
- You can rebuild any time. Change colors, swap cards, and try new builds between games. You can only use cards from your own pool.
- Best-of-one. League games are a single game, so they fit into a lunch break.
- Mix it up. Don't play the same opponent twice in a row. The more different people you play, the more you'll get out of the league.
- Report your wins. The winner of each game records the result using the link shared on Discord. Standings and stats appear live on the Reality Fracture league page.
- Honor system. Packs are opened on the honor system. Speaking from experience, sticking to the schedule makes the league a lot more fun for everyone.
The Final Tournament
On Saturday, November 7th, players from every company come together to compete. The winning company gets its name, the set, and the date engraved on a plaque on the trophy, and it keeps the trophy until the next league.
We'll also hand out promo cards to players who stood out during the league, such as whoever played the most unique opponents or changed deck colors the most often. While supplies last, every player at the final also gets a random promo. You must be at the final tournament to receive a promo.

Ways to Play
- In person at your office, at lunch, or at Game Grid in Lehi.
- Over webcam using Discord or SpellTable. All you need is a camera that can see your play area.
- Online with Untap.in if you enter your pool there.
Working remotely or outside Utah? You're still welcome. If you can get a prerelease kit and you have a webcam, you can play the whole league over Discord.
Join as an Independent
Not with a company, or fewer than three people from your company are playing? That's fine. Independents play the full league like everyone else. For the final tournament, independents can form their own team or join an existing company's team.
Why This Matters: Networking in Today's Market
Now for the serious part.
The tech job market in 2026 is hard. Layoffs keep showing up in the headlines, open roles get flooded with applicants within hours, and automated screening tools filter out good candidates before a person ever reads their resume. Many talented people are sending out dozens of applications and hearing nothing back. Even people who feel secure in their jobs know how quickly that can change.
In a market like this, who you know matters as much as what you've done. Referrals consistently rank among the most effective ways to land a role. A hiring manager is far more likely to call someone a colleague vouched for than a stranger who came through an online portal. Those referrals come from relationships, and the best relationships are built before you need them.
That's the reason this league exists. Traditional networking events can feel stiff and transactional: a name tag, a drink, and a pitch. A league is different. Over four weeks you play many games with engineers, designers, product managers, recruiters, and leaders from other companies across Utah. Every game is a natural, low-pressure conversation. You learn how people think, what their teams are working on, and who's hiring. They learn the same about you. By the final tournament, you'll know a few dozen more people in the local tech community, and they'll know you.
Members of our Discord regularly share openings at their companies, give advice on interviews, and connect people with the right contacts.
If you're job hunting, the league is one of the friendliest ways to expand your network. If you're comfortably employed, it's an investment in your career and a chance to help someone else find theirs. Either way, you'll leave with more connections than you started with.
What Is the Bulk Buy?
For each league, we organize a bulk buy through our partner, Game Grid in Lehi. For one flat price, you get everything you need for the league: a prerelease kit and six play booster packs. That's all 12 packs in a single order. Payment is collected ahead of time, and Game Grid sets the product aside so you can pick it up, or we can arrange pickup for your whole company.
The bulk buy for Reality Fracture has already closed. It ended the week before prerelease. We'll run a bulk buy for every future league, so watch for the next one on Discord and here on the blog. For this league, you can buy your product directly from Game Grid or any other store.
